Lisa Lacross-Courtney

Lisa LaCross-Courtney, CFP®, CRPC®, has extensive experience in the financial planning industry. Lisa is currently the Director of Financial Planning at Edelman Financial Engines since September 2019. Prior to that, they worked as a Financial Advisor and Senior Portfolio Advisor at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management from October 2014 to September 2019. Before joining Merrill Lynch, Lisa worked as a Financial Advisor at PNC from September 2010 to October 2014. Lisa began their career at Courtney Retirement & Investment Services where they held various roles including Financial Advisor, Investment Advisor Representative, Financial Planner, and Office Manager from September 2000 to September 2010. Throughout their career, Lisa has been responsible for consulting and developing investment and insurance strategies, developing financial plans for clients, and managing client relationships. Lisa has a strong track record of growing and retaining an investment, insurance, and fee-based advisory book of business.

Lisa LaCross-Courtney, CFP®, CRPC®, has a Bachelor's Degree in Business with a concentration in Finance from the University of Phoenix, completed in 2019. Lisa also holds a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor Designation from the College for Financial Planning, obtained in 2015. Lisa has completed coursework in Financial Planning and Services at the College for Financial Planning from 2015 to 2019. Other certifications include the Registered Paraplanner Certification from the College for Financial Planning in 2001, and various financial industry certifications such as the Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor and the Personal Investment Advisor. Lisa also attended Alpena High School for their high school diploma from 1983 to 1986 and has additional education in business studies from Concordia University Ann Arbor, Muskegon Business College, American InterContinental University, and Alpena Community College.
