Aklanta Kalita

Aklanta Kalita is an accomplished communications professional with over 20 years of experience, currently serving as Senior Vice President at Edelman, specializing in government communications, issues, and crisis management. Since joining Edelman in 2012, Aklanta has led various strategic communications campaigns for government entities and agencies, including the Resurgent Rajasthan Partnership Summit. Prior experience includes senior roles in public affairs and corporate advisory at APCO Worldwide India and market intelligence at Corporate Catalyst India. Aklanta began a career in journalism as a correspondent for Asian News International. Aklanta holds a Master’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from B Barooah College.
