Sarju Simaria

Sarju Simaria has a diverse work experience in the finance and insurance industry. Sarju is currently working as the CFO (Executive Vice President) at Edelweiss Tokio Life Insurance Company, where they hold various responsibilities including finance & accounts, regulatory compliance, performance measurement, risk management, and investments. Prior to this, Sarju worked as the Senior Vice President of Corporate Finance and Accounts at Edelweiss Capital Ltd, where they oversaw financial control, accounting, taxation, and regulatory compliance for multiple business verticals. Sarju also has experience in asset management, having served as the VP & Head of Operations at AIG Global Asset Management India Pvt. Ltd and as the Chief Financial Officer at SUN F&C Asset Management. At AIG, they successfully set up the AMC business in India, while at SUN F&C, they navigated the merger of mutual fund schemes.

Sarju Simaria attended St John School DLW Varanasi from 1981 to 1985, where they completed their ICSE (Std X) and ISC (Std XII) board exams with a focus on Commerce. They then pursued a B.Com degree from Sydenham College of Commerce & Economics in Mumbai from 1985 to 1988. Following that, Sarju Simaria attended The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India from 1988 to 1991, earning the Chartered Accountant qualification.
