Antoine Genevois

Antoine Genevois is the current Legal Director at EDF Energies Nouvelles. Antoine previously worked at Framatome from September 2012 to April 2019, where they served as Group General Counsel and Compliance Officer of FRAMATOME (formerly AREVA Reactors and Services BG).

During their time at Framatome, Genevois was responsible for managing the legal team located in France, Germany, USA and China, covering business law, litigation, compliance & antitrust, intellectual property, corporate, M&A, regulatory and labor. Antoine also oversaw the restructuring of the whole legal department during the AREVA departure plan as part of the overall setup of Framatome prior to its sale to EDF.

Genevois' main areas of activity included securing group governance, negotiation of contracts, management of major claims and litigations, as well as major legal risks. Antoine was also responsible for M&A activities and major partnership creation, restructuring and simplification. In addition, Genevois oversaw compliance with policies, antitrust regulations, export control regulations, and agents contracting policy implementation.

Antoine was a member of several FRAMATOME governance committees, including the major offer committee, M&A panel, major project review committee, IP committee, sourcing committee, and enlarged executive committee.

After completing their Ph.D. in Business Law from the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne, Antoine Genevois went on to complete a Leadership Program at Harvard Business School Executive Education. Antoine then pursued a Research Degree in Business Law from Université Paris Dauphine - PSL before obtaining their Master's degree in Droit international des affaires, du commerce et droit fiscal from Université Panthéon Assas (Paris II).

They are on a team with Nicolas Couderc - Deputy Managing Director, Cédric Le Bousse - Director of Marine Renewable Energies France, and Carole Trivi - Director of Communication. Their manager is Bruno Bensasson, Chairman & CEO.
