Johanna Sutcliff

Johanna Sutcliff has a strong background in financial management and leadership roles within the commodities industry. Johanna began their career at Rawlinson & Hunter as an Audit & Tax Practice Associate from 1994 to 1998. In 1998, they joined ED&F Man as a Financial Controller in the Coffee Division, a position they held until 2002. From 2002 to 2010, Johanna served as the Financial Controller in the Sugar Division before being promoted to Group Financial Controller. In this role, they were responsible for group reporting and audit, corporate accounting, and central overheads processing. In 2014, they transitioned to the role of Chief Financial Officer for the Sugar Division, where they managed a team of 80 finance and 10 IT business analyst staff. Their responsibilities included financial management, standardizing accounting and reporting processes, introducing performance metrics, and strengthening the control environment. In 2017, Johanna became the Chief of Staff for the Commodities Division and the Interim Managing Director for the Sugar Division. During this time, they led a strategic review and business transformation project, resulting in the closure of underperforming offices, a reduction in the global workforce, significant cost savings, and the return of working capital. Most recently, Johanna held the position of Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer for the Sugar Division at ED&F Man.

Johanna Sutcliff has an ACA degree from ICAEW. Johanna also has a BA (Hons) in Geography from the University of Leicester. No information is provided regarding the start or end years of their education at either institution.
