Jean Sideris

Jean Sideris is a Principal and leads Edgar, Dunn & Company’s Dubai office. He is responsible for industry advisory, project delivery and business development. He has over 20 years’ experience in payments, in the areas of strategy, financial analysis, partnership negotiation & due diligence, product design & launch, traditional, digital & mobile payments, pricing & interchange, regulation and financial inclusion. He has recently supported many clients on these matters, including Central Banks, international & national schemes, global processing companies, large regional banks, private equity groups, Fintechs and telco operators. Prior to joining EDC, Jean held several senior management positions with global payment leaders. He was previously Visa’s Chief Strategy Officer for Central Europe, Middle East & Africa and member of its Executive Committee, overlooking all investment, corporate strategy and M&A activities in over 90 countries. Beforehand he spent over 12 years with MasterCard in Europe, in sales, finance & strategy. Jean is a frequent speaker on Fintech & payments in emerging economies. He holds an MSc in Applied Economics from Solvay School of Economics & Management, ULB in Belgium.
