Lead Manufacturing Engineer at Edge Autonomy

Kristaps Spade has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Kristaps is currently working as a Lead Manufacturing Engineer at Edge Autonomy since September 2022. Additionally, they hold a part-time lecturer position at Rīgas Tehniskā universitāte (Riga Technical University) starting from September 2022.

Prior to their current roles, Kristaps served as an Engineering Department Manager at FORMA - WOODWORKING MACHINERY & AUTOMATION from December 2018 to August 2022. In this position, they were responsible for planning and coordinating projects, managing teams, and researching new products related to customized production machinery, primarily in the woodworking industry.

In their previous role as a Mechanical Engineer at Vairog EU from March 2017 to September 2018, Kristaps utilized their expertise in mechanical engineering to support the development of various projects.

Kristaps also worked as a Technical Designer at PRECO Grain handling equipment from March 2016 to June 2017, where they focused on CAD modeling and the preparation of technical documentation for grain handling equipment.

Prior to that, Kristaps worked as a Lead Engineer at MPTA SIA in 2014, where they designed and documented manufacturing systems and machinery while managing workflow and mentoring colleagues.

Further back in their career, they served as a Mechanical Engineer at UAV Factory from 2013 to 2014, a Mechanical Engineer at PERUZA SIA from October 2012 to February 2013, and a Project Manager at BMCM from 2011 to 2012.

Throughout their career, Kristaps Spade has gained extensive experience in manufacturing engineering, mechanical design, project management, and mentoring.

Kristaps Spade started their education in 2006 at Rīgas Tehniskā universitāte (Riga Technical University), where they obtained a Master's degree in Engineering Science in 2012. Kristaps continued their studies at the same institution and is currently pursuing a PhD in Engineering Science, with an expected completion date in 2023.
