Johann Pinillos

Johann Pinillos is an experienced architect and sustainability expert with a diverse professional background. Currently serving as an Architect at UNOPS since August 2020 and as an Expert at EDGE Buildings since May 2019, Johann focuses on designing eco-friendly projects that meet high standards. As a founding partner of BIOARQ, a firm specializing in sustainable architecture since January 2005, Johann contributes to innovative design practices. Additional roles include researcher at GRUPO TINKUY, which addresses issues related to energy, territory, and climate change, and a professor at Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas, teaching foundational courses in construction and sustainable design. Previous entrepreneurial experience includes ownership of Ecohostel Red Psycho Llama from April 2008 to February 2017, which introduced ecological hospitality to travelers in Peru. Johann's educational background includes a Master's in Sustainable Design and Bioclimatic Architecture from Universitat de Barcelona and a Technical Architecture degree from Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas.
