Gerrit Seidel

Gerrit Seidel joined yabeo as Managing Director and partner in 2016. yabeo is one of the leading German Venture Capital firms, investing in early stage Fintech, Insurtech, Healthtech, and Deeptech companies around the world. In this function Gerrit is among others co-founder investor of leading European Fin- and Insurtechs and Deputy Chairman of Solarisbank. After an MBA at the University of Rochester (NY) and his Ph.D. at the University of Munich, his business life started at the strategy and technology consultancy Arthur D. Little. As CEO of Continental Europe and Global Financial Services Head, he advised major global banks and (re)insurances across the globe. After 16 years he started at Xchanging plc, an LSE- quoted company, and became Managing Director of Xchanging Transaction Bank (JV with Deutsche Bank) and Fondsdepot Bank (JV with Allianz Global Investors). Enthusiastic about digitalization in the finance sector he joined the renown Reimann Family Office in Germany. As CEO of SOFORT Bank and SOFORT AG he lead and exited the leading European internet payment and open-banking company to Klarna A.B. (Stockholm), where he became Managing Director and CEO of the German-speaking region.
