Christine W. Poon

Christine W. Poon has worked as a UX/UI Designer at Edge Impulse starting in 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Moment Studio from 2022 to 2023 as a UX/UI Designer, leading a team of 5 and designing an onboarding experience and improving a data-insights dashboard for their client, TSV Analytics.

Before their work in design, Christine served as a High School Educator in the San Francisco Unified School District from 2019 to 2022. In this role, they designed engaging learning experiences for a diverse group of students, prioritizing socio-emotional activities and incorporating constant student feedback. Christine W. was also mindful of accessibility and made adjustments to cater to different learners.

From 2016 to 2018, Christine worked as an Elementary Educator at Children's Day School, focusing on student-centered and joyful classroom experiences. Christine W. collected data to inform adjustments to classroom structures and assignments to ensure successful daily learning for their students.

Christine also has experience as a Youth Development Professional at Boys & Girls Clubs of America from 2015 to 2016, where they worked with young people to foster their personal and academic growth.

In 2014 and 2015, Christine served as a Resident Technological Supervisor at UCLA, overseeing a group of underclassmen, managing schedules and troubleshooting tech issues, and providing mentorship in public speaking and presentation. Christine W. also handled customer service and assistance to residents.

Prior to that, Christine worked as an Administrative/Marketing Assistant at Coldwell Banker Real Estate from 2013 to 2014, providing administrative and marketing support.

Christine W. Poon earned their Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from UCLA in 2015. Christine W. pursued further education and obtained a Master of Arts degree in Education/Teaching from the University of San Francisco, graduating in 2019. In addition to their formal education, Christine has also obtained certifications in various subjects. In November 2022, they completed the SheCodes Basics certification from SheCodes. In October 2022, they earned the Avocademy - UX/UI Foundations certification from Avocademy (YC W22). Furthermore, they obtained the UX Research Methods: Interviewing certification from LinkedIn in July 2022.
