Eric Evans

Eric Evans is an experienced professional currently serving as the County Manager for Edgecombe County Government since October 2015, following a tenure as Assistant County Manager from December 2001 to October 2015, where responsibilities included serving as Human Services Director. Prior to these roles, Eric served as Pastor at Walnut Grove Baptist Church from January 2010 to June 2020. Additionally, in the capacity of Community Development Administrator and Housing Recovery Officer, Eric managed a significant $42 million flood recovery project. Eric holds a Bachelor of Science degree in History and Social Studies Education from East Carolina University, completed between 1989 and 2004, and is a graduate of Northwest Halifax High School.
