Mihai B.

Mihai B. has a diverse work experience starting in 1999. Mihai began their career as a Member of the R&D team at Akamai, where they worked for a year before moving to Bell Laboratories as a Research Scientist Intern. At Bell Laboratories, they focused on clustering algorithms using core-sets. After this, Mihai joined Google (Research NY) in 2006 as a Senior Software Engineer. During their time at Google, they designed and implemented an image similarity backend for Google Goggles. In 2010, Mihai joined Edgestream Partners, L.P. as a Member of the Research Group and eventually progressed to the role of Senior Researcher. Currently, they hold the position of VP, Research at Edgestream Partners, L.P.

Mihai B. has an extensive education history. Mihai began their studies in 1997 at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (SB) degree in Mathematics in 2003. During the same period, they also pursued a second Bachelor of Science (SB) degree in Computer Science, which they completed in 2003 as well.

Mihai continued their studies at MIT and obtained a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) in 2003. Mihai further pursued their academic journey at MIT, enrolling in the PhD program in Theoretical Computer Science/Algorithms. After five years of dedicated research, Mihai successfully earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in 2006 from MIT.
