Alan Russell

Alan Russell is a seasoned professional in the field of muscle biology and therapeutics, currently serving as Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer at Edgewise Therapeutics since July 2017, and as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Colorado's Department of Integrative Physiology since November 2017. Prior experience includes significant roles at GSK, where Alan Russell held the positions of VP and Head, and Director and Head of the Muscle Metabolism Drug Product Unit from March 2010 to July 2017. Additionally, Alan Russell contributed as Associate Director of Muscle Biology and Therapeutics at Cytokinetics from February 2002 to February 2010, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Epithelial Biology at Stanford University School of Medicine from September 1996 to February 2002. Educationally, Alan Russell earned a PhD in Pharmacy from the University of Bath between 1992 and 1996.
