Randy Zhong

Randy Zhong has a strong background in analytical chemistry and project management. Their most recent role was as Director of Analytical Chemistry at Edgewise Therapeutics, which began in January 2023. Prior to that, Randy worked at Novartis Pharmaceuticals for over 16 years, starting in 2006. During their time at Novartis, they served in various roles, including Director/Team Head of Global Analytical Project Management, Associate Director of Global Analytical Project Management, Fellow of Global Analytical Project Management, Principal Scientist in Analytical Research & Development, and Senior Scientist in Analytical Research & Development. In these roles, Randy led teams, provided strategic guidance, and oversaw analytical activities for new drug substances and products, including achieving marketing approval for two new products. Randy also played key roles in method development, validation, and transfer, as well as authoring technical documents for regulatory submissions.

Randy Zhong pursued their education, beginning in 1995, at Xiamen University, where they completed both their Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Chemistry. Randy then continued their academic journey at the University of Iowa from 2002 to 2006, where they obtained a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry.
