Amanda Soczynski

Assistant Director - Debate & Speech at Edina Public Schools

Amanda Soczynski has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Amanda started their career as a Law Clerk at Usset, Weingarden, & Liebo, where they gained experience in basic secretarial duties and litigation. Amanda then worked as a Legal Extern at Hanson Efron, shadowing and observing a family law attorney. Amanda also worked as a Paid Campaign Worker for a U.S. Senate Campaign and as an Assistant Speech Coach for Edina Public Schools.

In 2015, they joined Silver Bay Homes as a Property Compliance Coordinator in the Legal Department. In this role, they established a compliance process and database while coordinating with residents, offices, and vendors to resolve compliance issues. Amanda also ensured compliance with Homeowners' Associations and city standards.

Amanda then worked as an Assistant Speech Coach for Orono Public Schools, assisting students with speech writing, public speaking, and competition skills. Amanda subsequently joined Edina Public Schools as an Assistant Director for Debate & Speech.

Since 2016, Amanda has been working at Thomson Reuters in various roles. Initially, they served as a Client Manager/Representative, guiding attorneys and legal staff on advanced legal research and conducting training sessions for customers. Amanda also supported sales executives through product demonstrations. Later, they became a Customer Success Manager in the corporates division and currently holds the position of a Client Representative - Trial Specialist - Corporates.

Amanda Soczynski completed their Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication from the School of Journalism at the University of Minnesota from 2008 to 2011. Amanda then pursued a Juris Doctor (J.D.) at the Mitchell Hamline School of Law from 2011 to 2014. In addition to their formal education, Amanda obtained a Substitute Teaching License from the Minnesota Department of Education in February 2015 and a 50 Hour Divorce Mediation certification from the William Mitchell College of Law in December 2014.
