Joanne Mathieson

Head Of Facilities Management at Edinburgh Leisure

Joanne Mathieson began their work experience in 1995 as a General Manager at Spirit Health and Fitness. Joanne then moved on to work as a General Manager at Nuffield Health from 1999 to 2001. Following that, Joanne became the Snowsports Centre Manager at Midlothian Council from 2001 to 2010. Joanne then joined Edinburgh Leisure as the Adventure Activities Manager from 2010 to 2011, and later became the Manager of the Edinburgh International Climbing Arena from 2011 to 2012. Joanne then took on the role of Meadowbank Stadium Manager at Edinburgh Leisure from 2012 to 2017. Currently, they are serving as the Head of Facilities Management at Edinburgh Leisure, a position they have held since June 2017.

Joanne Mathieson completed their Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Sport and Exercise Science from The Manchester Metropolitan University, where they attended from 1991 to 1994. Joanne then pursued a Master of Science degree in Facilities Management from Edinburgh Napier University, which they completed between 2017 and 2019. Joanne Mathieson's educational background includes a focus on both Sport and Exercise Science as well as Facilities Management.
