Prof Bill Buchanan Obe Frse

Prof Bill Buchanan OBE FRSE is a distinguished academic and professional with extensive experience in the field of cryptography and computer security. Since August 1986, Prof Buchanan has been a Professor at Napier University, contributing to research and teaching. In addition, Prof Buchanan has been serving as a Taskforce Member for the Blockchain & Digital Trust Taskforce since January 2023. Prof Buchanan holds a PhD in Computing from Edinburgh Napier University, completed between 1986 and 1991, and is an alumnus of Graeme High School in Falkirk.
