Naomi Pulfrey

Naomi Pulfrey has a diverse work experience spanning from 2016 to 2023. Naomi started their career as a Graduate Engineer at BAE Systems Maritime – Submarines, where they gained skills in safety case production, project management, and risk assessment. Naomi also worked as a Mechanical Test and Commissioning Engineer, commissioning a submarine propulsion plant. In 2018, Naomi became a Product Safety Engineer at BAE Systems, where they supported accident sequence modeling, event tree production, and SIL classification of communications systems. Naomi was later seconded to the Fire Safety Engineering team, working on material assessments and ensuring compliance with DSEAR regulations. In 2019, they transitioned to the role of Fire and Explosion Safety Engineer, followed by a promotion to Senior Fire and Explosion Safety Engineer in 2020. In 2022, Naomi took on the role of Key Safety Function Lead - Principal Engineer (Acting) before joining Quick Release_ in 2022 as a Safety Systems Engineer - Senior Consultant. Currently, they are working as a Senior Systems Safety Engineer at Ediom Pty Ltd, starting in 2023.

Naomi Pulfrey completed their education with a Master's of Chemistry MChem from Heriot-Watt University, where they studied from 2011 to 2016. In addition to their degree, they obtained certifications as a Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology in October 2017 and as a Student Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry in September 2012.
