Philip D. Moeller is the EVP of Business Operations Group & Regulatory Affairs at Edison Electric Institute. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Vice President of Energy Delivery and Chief Customer Solutions Officer at Edison Electric Institute from February 2016 to July 2017. From December 2015 to December 2019, they were a Non Executive Director at LNG Limited.
From January 2006 to October 2015, Moeller served as a Commissioner at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. During their time there, they focused on the benefits to consumers of expanding the nation's electric transmission and natural gas infrastructure, improved prices through wholesale electricity market policy, and the need to better coordinate the electric and natural gas industries as the United States moves to burn more natural gas for electricity generation.
Prior to their time at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, Moeller served as the Executive Director of Washington Office at Alliant Energy from March 2002 to July 2006 and as the Director of Federal Relations at Calpine from February 2001 to March 2002. Moeller began their career in 1997 as a Senior Legislative Assistant for United States Senator Slade Gorton.
