Tamara Monesmith has extensive work experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. Tamara recently worked at Editas Medicine as the Vice President of Process and Analytical Development since February 2020. Prior to that, they held the position of Senior Director of Cellular Process Development from January 2018 to February 2020.
Before joining Editas Medicine, Ms. Monesmith had a long tenure at Argos Therapeutics, where they held various roles. Tamara was the Head of Manufacturing and Technical Operations from March 2017 to January 2018. Prior to that, they served as the Senior Director of Manufacturing Science & Technology from January 2015 to March 2017. Tamara also held the roles of Director of Manufacturing & Process Development from January 2008 to December 2014, Director of Process Development and Project Management in Oncology from April 2007 to January 2008, and various positions in process development from August 2002 to April 2007. Additionally, they worked as a Production Engineer from February 2002 to July 2002 at Argos Therapeutics.
Before their tenure at Argos Therapeutics, Ms. Monesmith worked at Biolex as a Sr. Process Design Engineer/Process Design Engineer from January 1999 to February 2002.
Tamara Monesmith earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Arizona in 1994. Tamara then pursued a Master of Science degree in Biological Engineering at North Carolina State University from 1996 to 1999.
