Tanya Teslovich

Tanya Teslovich has an extensive work experience in the field of genetics and genomics. Their most recent position was as Vice President and Head of Genetics and Genomics at Editas Medicine, starting in September 2023. Prior to that, they held the role of Vice President and Head of Genomics at TenSixteen Bio from September 2021 to September 2023.

Before their industry roles, Tanya worked at Sarepta Therapeutics, where they held various positions including Executive Director of Genomics and Data Science, Senior Director of Genomics, and Director of Genomics from 2019 to 2021.

From 2016 to 2019, Tanya worked as an Associate Director of Statistical Genetics at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals. Prior to that, they worked as a Statistical Geneticist at the University of Michigan from 2008 to 2016.

Tanya started their career as a Graduate Student at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine from 2002 to 2008, where their thesis work focused on genetic association studies.

Tanya also gained research experience as a Research Associate at the National Human Genome Research Institute, where they studied prostate cancer susceptibility genes, and as a Research Assistant at Children's National Medical Center.

Tanya Teslovich received their B.S. degree in Computational Biology with a Minor in Chemistry from Carnegie Mellon University in 2000. Tanya then pursued their Ph.D. in Human Genetics from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, completing it in 2008.
