Emily Perry

Emily Perry has a strong background in data science and has held various roles in different companies. Emily started their career as a Research Assistant at The University of Hong Kong, where they worked as part of a team analyzing Octopus data. Emily then joined Movement Strategies, where they pioneered new methods in analyzing people's movement, both in small areas and on a larger scale. During their time there, they also spent 10 months on secondment to Telefonica, working on mining O2 cellular data.

Afterwards, Perry joined Deliveroo as a Senior Data Scientist, primarily working in the Logistics team. Their main responsibilities included building machine learning models and optimizing algorithms to ensure timely food delivery to customers.

Most recently, Perry has been working at EDITED as a Senior Data Scientist, and has recently been promoted to Principal Data Scientist. Further details about their time at EDITED are not provided, as the end date for their current role is not specified.

Emily Perry received a Ph.D. in Civil, Environmental and Geomatic Engineering from University College London in the years 2011 to 2015. Prior to that, they completed a degree in MaST Mathematics (Part III of the Mathematical Tripos) at the University of Cambridge from 2010 to 2011. Emily obtained a First Class Bsc Mathematics degree from the University of Reading from 2007 to 2010.
