Lisa M. O'Neill is a seasoned freelance journalist and writer with a diverse range of experience in writing, editing, and teaching. Since 2016, Lisa has developed and executed various writing projects, including essays and journalistic features. In conjunction with freelance work, Lisa has served as an editor and creativity usher for nonprofits and corporations since 2009. As an adjunct faculty member at Bard Early College in New Orleans and a former Writers' Room Manager at 826 New Orleans, Lisa has contributed significantly to writing education and curriculum development. Lisa is also the founder and host of The Matriarchitects podcast, highlighting women's contributions in various fields. Additional experience includes instructing writing workshops in educational and correctional settings, lecturing at institutions like the University of Arizona and Pima Community College, and curating an online literary project, The Dictionary Project. Lisa holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Arizona and a BA in English Language and Literature from The Catholic University of America.
