Jorge Ruiz

Jorge Ruiz has extensive work experience in the yachting industry. Jorge began their career as a Chief Engineer at Yachting Experience in 2001 and stayed with the company until 2014. From 2014 to 2015, they worked as a Jefe de Máquinas on the MY Alkhor and S/Y Mikado. Jorge then joined MY Burkut in 2016 as a Jefe de Maquinas and stayed until 2021. After that, they worked as the Chief Engineer at MY Katharine in Fairport Yacht Support from 2021 to 2023. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Engineer at Edmiston since March 2023.

Jorge Ruiz attended the Universidad de Oviedo, where they pursued a degree in Licenciado en Máquinas Marinas. The exact years of their education at this institution are not provided. In addition to their degree, Jorge obtained the Chief Engineer (Unlimited) certification from the Ministerio de Transportes, Movilidad y Agenda Urbana in August 2007.
