Margaret Carmichael is an experienced professional with a diverse background in education and administrative roles. Currently serving as a LINC Substitute Teacher and Administrative Assistant at Edmonton Catholic Schools since March 2015, Margaret has provided vital support in Student Support Services and Alternative Education. Previously, Margaret worked as an Administrative Assistant at Alberta Health Services, managing complex calendar bookings and document revisions. At Athabasca University, Margaret held several administrative positions, including Administrative Professional Officer and Graduate Program Administrative Officer, where responsibilities included supervising staff, managing contracts, and ensuring academic compliance. Earlier in the career, Margaret was a Residential Real Estate Agent, ESL Teacher, and Senior Evaluator with the Government of Alberta. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Drama from the University of Alberta, along with advanced courses in Educational Policy Studies and a Management Certificate in Organizational Leadership from MacEwan University.
