Chris Cook

Chris Cook is an accomplished engineer with extensive experience in optical coatings and thin film technologies. Currently serving as an Engineering Fellow at Edmund Optics since September 2017, Chris leads innovative optical coatings engineering projects aimed at creating high-precision and versatile optical systems for cutting-edge research and development. Previously, Chris held roles such as Principal Engineer at Edmund Optics, where the design and establishment of an optical coating facility was successfully executed, and Director at Axsun Technologies, overseeing the development of advanced thin films for medical and industrial applications. Chris's career includes significant positions at MIT Lincoln Laboratory, focusing on thin films R&D, and early experience as a Microwave Systems Engineer at GTE. Chris holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Tufts University and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Sonoma State University.
