Matthew Irons

Matthew Irons is the current Vice President of Finance and IT at EDON Management. Matthew has over eight years of experience in accounting and financial management. Prior to their current position, they worked as a Senior Staff Accountant at Collins Barrow Calgary LLP from January 2013 to August 2016. In this role, they were responsible for overall file preparation, engagement planning and execution, financial statement preparation, communication and reports, and tax returns. Matthew also supervised field staff on assurance engagements and performed fieldwork, including completing sampling procedures on account balances and testing of internal controls. In addition, they led planning meetings to ensure engagement team was prepared for fieldwork and to address issues and concerns with the managers and partners. Mr. Irons began their career as a Summer Intern at Collins Barrow Calgary LLP from May 2012 to August 2012.

Matthew holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting from the University of Calgary. Matthew is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA) in Alberta and a Certified Management Accountant (CMA).

The educational career for Matthew Irons would include studying to be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) at the CPA Western School of Business, obtaining a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Accounting from the Haskayne School of Business, and completing a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from the University of Calgary.

Matthew Irons reports to Edward Lazdowski, President. They are on a team with Jean Levasseur - Quality & Technical Support Manager, Rod Dushnisky - Regional Director, Operations, North, and Neilesh Joshi - Manager, Project Management.
