Jessica Etheridge has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning different industries. Jessica began their career as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Researcher at Murray State University from 2005 to 2009. Jessica then worked as a Fellow Selector at TNTP Teaching Fellows from 2011 to 2013, where they played a role in selecting fellows for the program. From 2011 to 2013, they also served as a Science Educator at Shelby County Schools, focusing on closing the achievement gap and improving learning outcomes for students.

In 2013, Jessica worked as a Medical Research Assistant at The University of Memphis. Jessica later joined Knox County Schools as a Science Educator at Central High School from 2014 to 2015. During this time, they honed their communication skills and focused on reaching disadvantaged students effectively.

Jessica went on to pursue their graduate degree in Science Communication at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where they served as a Graduate Student from 2016 to 2018.

In their professional career, Jessica has held marketing roles at various organizations. Jessica worked as a Marketing Director at Old City MedSpa in Knoxville from 2018 to 2021, where they developed marketing strategies, built brand equity, and oversaw content development projects. From 2021 to 2022, they served as the Marketing Director at Full Service BBQ, where they developed brand strategies, implemented content marketing campaigns, and improved the efficiency of the Marketing Department.

Prior to their current role, Jessica worked at JE Marketing from 2017 to 2022, where they were the Owner/Operator and Content Creator. Jessica provided tailored marketing strategies to clients in biotechnical, environmental education, and health & wellness sectors and facilitated an increase in new business for multiple clients.

Currently, Jessica is the Director of Marketing & Branding at New Day Diagnostics, where they lead the marketing efforts and develops branding strategies for the company.

Throughout their career, Jessica has demonstrated their ability to strategize, communicate effectively, and drive results in both education and marketing roles.

Jessica Etheridge holds an M.S. degree in Communication and Media Studies from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, which they obtained from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, they earned another M.S. degree in Molecular Biology from Murray State University, where they studied from 2005 to 2007. Their undergraduate education was completed at Maryville College, where they obtained a B.A. degree in Biology from 1999 to 2003. Jessica also has additional certifications including a Certificate in Teaching Adults from LERN and an Apprentice Teacher- Biology 7-12 from TNTP Teaching Fellows, which they obtained in 2021 and 2012 respectively.
