Dr Matthew Higgs-McCallum

Dr. Matthew Higgs-McCallum currently serves as the Data Science & Business Intelligence Lead at Edrington, where responsibilities include leading a team to enhance commercial intelligence and optimize stock profiles. Prior to this role, Dr. Higgs-McCallum was a Lecturer in Business Analytics at the University of Bristol, where development of the BSc Business Analytics program was undertaken, alongside teaching various analytics courses. Previous positions include lecturing at Northumbria University, serving as Head of Product at Streamba Ltd, and working as a Data Scientist at The Data Lab, where significant contributions to Scotland’s economy through data projects were made. Dr. Higgs-McCallum holds a PhD in Computational Statistics and Machine Learning from University College London and a Master of Mathematics from the University of Leeds.
