Dr. Shazia Riaz Dar

Dr. Shazia Riaz Dar serves as the Director of the GIFT Language Centre at GIFT University since December 2021, leading a team focused on enhancing students' linguistic abilities through innovative programs and collaborations. Dr. Riaz Dar has also contributed as a Convener for the SAR MPhil in Applied Linguistics and as Director of the GIFT Corpus Research Center. Additionally, Dr. Riaz Dar holds an Assistant Professorship at EDU since January 2015, along with previous roles as a Creative Writer and Proposal Writer at Lahore Leads University, Lecturer, and Report and Research Officer in Lahore. Dr. Riaz Dar's educational background includes a Postdoctoral degree in Corpus Linguistics from the University of Helsinki and two Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Applied Linguistics and Linguistics from Air University and Cardiff University, respectively, as well as an MPhil in Applied Linguistics and a Master's degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Gujrat.
