Jamalia L Jones has an extensive work experience that spans various organizations and roles. Jamalia L is currently the Senior Director of Operations at Educare Omaha, where they support the successful operation and sustainability of five urban schools. Prior to this, they worked at Learning Community of Douglas and Sarpy Counties as the Director of Family Engagement Services, where they provided clear vision for the development and operations of the Learning Community North Omaha Center.

Before that, Jamalia held multiple roles at Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska, including Director of Continuous Quality Improvement, Director of Prevention/Early Intervention Programs, and Family Support Liaison Director. Jamalia L was responsible for ensuring program efficiency and effectiveness, overseeing quality assurance and improvement activities, and creating a collaborative environment that promotes education opportunity and academic excellence.

Earlier in their career, they worked at Uta Halee Cooper Village as the Clinical Training Coordinator and Mental Health Therapist. Jamalia L conducted therapy sessions, created individualized treatment plans, and developed and facilitated group programs. Jamalia L also served as the Multicultural Internship Coordinator and Graduate Assistant at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, where they were responsible for recruitment, selection, and supervision of interns, as well as maintaining programs and services for students of color.
