Dee Adkins

Dee Adkins has extensive work experience in the healthcare and education sectors. Dee worked as a National Director of Nursing Assessment at Education Affiliates since May 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Consultant at Education Affiliates from July 2020 to May 2021, focusing on curriculum creation, assessment creation/revision, and data analysis. Before joining Education Affiliates, Dee was a Nursing Faculty member at Nightingale College from August 2018 to May 2021. Dee also served as a Virtual ATI/Capstone Coach at ATI Nursing Education from September 2014 to April 2019. Dee had roles as a Course Mentor at Western Governors University from December 2010 to October 2018. Dee also worked as an Online Adjunct Instructor at Harrison College from December 2008 to December 2017. Prior to that, they gained experience as a Critical Care Registered Nurse at Community Hospital South from January 2005 to December 2008. Dee has also worked as a Nursing Faculty member at J Everett Light Career Center from June 2007 to June 2008. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Critical Care Registered Nurse at University Community Hospital from October 2003 to December 2004, and as a Homecare/Hospice RN at Lifepath Hospice from March 2002 to December 2004. Their early nursing experience includes working as a Registered Nurse at Bayfront Health St. Petersburg from July 1997 to March 2002.

Dee Adkins obtained an Associate's degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from Hillsborough Community College in 1994-1997. Then, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Nursing Science from the University of South Florida from 1999 to 2001. Later, in 2005-2008, they earned a Master's degree in Nursing Education from Indiana University Indianapolis. Lastly, Dee Adkins completed a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Nursing Education from Nova Southeastern University from 2015 to 2020. Dee also holds a certification in CNE from the National League of Nursing, but the exact date of attainment is unknown.
