Rīa Fay-Berquist is an experienced educator and leader in the field of arts and education, currently serving as a founding teacher at Latitude 37.8 High School, where responsibilities include teaching 12th Grade Visual Art/Design and English Language Arts, as well as 11th and 10th Grade Humanities. Previously, Rīa co-founded the Partnership for Just Educators, conducting research to enhance teaching practices in juvenile justice schools. Rīa's background includes various roles in educational institutions, such as a Visual and Media Arts Teacher, School Leadership Resident, and instructor at prestigious organizations including Harvard Graduate School of Education and Art Center College of Design. Rīa holds an Ed.M. in The Arts in Education and an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership, along with certifications in Psychological First Aid and emergency management.
