Head of Marketing at Education Journey

Sofia Pelúcio has extensive experience in marketing and operations management. Sofia began their career in 2009 as an intern for Projeto Comunicar, where they were responsible for suggesting and brainstorming topics for the university newspaper, planning and interviewing for articles, and writing stories and reports. In 2010, they joined Globosat as an intern and was later promoted to Assistant Producer I, II, and III, as well as being invited to act as assistant director in specific projects. From 2017 to 2019, they held the role of Marketing Manager at Activate, a digital startup studio based in London, where they were responsible for developing and executing growth experiments and tactics focused on acquisition, onboarding, and retention. In 2019, they also served as a Marketing Consultant for T/F/D - Think Feel Do, where they conducted market research, a social media audit, and developed content for a marketing webinar for startups. Currently, they are the Head of Marketing at Education Journey, where they connect professionals to the most innovative digital solutions in the education market.

Sofia Pelúcio obtained a Bachelor's degree in Media and Communications with an emphasis in Journalism from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro between 2008 and 2012. In 2016, they earned a Master of Arts in Marketing Communications from University of Westminster. In 2017, they obtained a Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing from Digital Marketing Institute. Sofia also holds IELTS and TOEFL certifications.
