Lydian Miles

Lydian Miles has a diverse work experience in various industries. From 2008 to 2009, they worked as a Special Events Coordinator at Louisiana Youth Prevention Services, where they planned and developed programs and events, managed budgets, and coordinated services for events. Following this, from 2011 to 2012, they served as an Orientation Instructor at Unitech Training Academy, where they provided guidance to students and facilitated orientation, also instructing them on CPR.

In 2012, Lydian joined Education Management, Inc. (dba Blue Cliff College) as a Student Services Coordinator, advising and assisting students in completing their program of study. Lydian was responsible for providing resources, monitoring retention, and managing student affairs. From 2015, they took on the role of Director of Education at the same company, partnering with the Campus Director to ensure instructional outcomes and services met student and college expectations. Lydian oversaw student issues, managed program schedules, and supervised faculty and staff hiring and evaluation.

Additionally, Lydian has a background in the military, serving in the Louisiana Army National Guard from 2000. As a Sergeant and 88M (Driver/Dispatcher), they maintained soldier accountability and welfare, operated vehicles in support of combat operations, and managed loading and unloading of personnel and equipment.

Lydian Miles attended Louisiana State University at Alexandria from 2001 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies. Lydian then pursued further education at Southern New Hampshire University from 2015 to 2019, where they earned a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Communication and Media Studies.
