Tim Gipson has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Tim began their career at Summit Energy in 2008, serving as a PC Technician until 2010.
In 2010, they joined ENA by Zayo and held several roles within the company. From 2010 to 2011, Tim worked as a Customer Support Engineer, where they conducted proactive network monitoring and troubleshooting, provided customer support on various platforms, and resolved WAN connectivity problems.
From 2011 to 2012, Tim served as a Systems Administrator at ENA by Zayo, managing and deploying internal systems and infrastructure such as exchange environment, Active Directory, DHCP, and DNS.
In 2012, Tim transitioned to the role of an Associate Systems Engineer, responsible for analyzing and resolving problems associated with server hardware, technical infrastructure, and application software. Tim also performed software/hardware maintenance and provided operational support for Linux/Windows server systems. Tim held this position until 2014.
From 2014 to 2018, Tim worked as a Systems Engineer, contributing to the design, building, and deployment of a Virtual Private Compute Cloud at ENA by Zayo. Tim was responsible for deploying physical hardware, configuring Apache Cloudstack, CEPH storage backend, and networking fabric.
Moving up the ranks, Tim became a Cloud Success Engineer from 2018 to 2021. In this role, they focused on new opportunity growth and existing customer engagement for ENA's Cloud Products. Tim played a leading role in the design and construction of platforms for Infrastructure-as-a-Service, cloud storage, and backup products. Tim utilized their expertise to assist customers in leveraging ENA's cloud solutions.
Since 2021, Tim has taken on a managerial role at ENA by Zayo. As the Manager of Systems Engineering, they oversee two teams responsible for ENA's internal infrastructure and managed internal systems.
In summary, Tim Gipson has a well-rounded background in systems engineering, cloud services, technical support, and management, with extensive experience at ENA by Zayo.
Tim Gipson completed their Bachelor's degree in Christian Ethics from Union University between 1998 and 2002. Tim then pursued further education and earned a Master of Divinity degree in Biblical and Theological Studies from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary from 2002 to 2008. In addition to their academic achievements, Tim also obtained several certifications throughout their career. These include the MCSA Server 2012 certification from Microsoft, obtained in April 2014, the CCENT certification from Cisco, obtained in May 2012, and the Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator certification from Red Hat, obtained in July 2016.
