Abhishek Kumar

Abhishek Kumar has a diverse work experience spanning across various organizations and roles. Abhishek is currently working as a Project Lead at Educational Initiatives. Previously, they worked as a Program Specialist (M&E) at AKRSP-India where they conducted PRA activities and monitored rural development projects.

Before that, Abhishek held the position of Senior Program Manager at BAIF Development Research Foundation. In this role, they led projects on holistic rural development, animal breeding services, and healthcare management. Abhishek also developed proposals for CSR partnerships with organizations like ITC, HDFC, ICICI Foundation, Samastha, and NABARD. Additionally, they worked on CSR projects related to organic farming promotion, holistic village development, and renewable energy in rural Telangana. Abhishek collaborated with CSR teams from corporates in Hyderabad and Bangalore to ensure business sustainability and developed impactful CSR proposals.

Abhishek also gained experience as a Management Trainee at Reliance General Insurance, where they worked as a sales manager and achieved significant targets in a short period of time. Abhishek also served as an intern at MSC-Enabling inclusion in the digital age, where they worked on improving financial inclusion indicators in central India.

Furthermore, Abhishek completed a summer internship at PwC India, where they studied the status of farm mechanization in Bihar and formulated a business plan for a radio taxi model of Custom Hiring Center as part of the BAGRI Project.

Overall, Abhishek has demonstrated a strong commitment to rural development, CSR partnerships, and financial inclusion through their work experience in various roles and organizations.

Abhishek Kumar completed their Bachelor's degree in Economics from Delhi University in the years 2013 to 2016. Abhishek then pursued a PGDRM (Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Management) from the Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) from 2017 to 2019. In addition to their formal education, Abhishek has obtained certifications in NET (Management) from the University Grants Commission (UGC) and certifications in Learning Design Thinking, Statistics Foundations 1: The Basics, and Statistics Foundations 2: Probability from LinkedIn, all in the year 2023.
