Matt Sloan has extensive experience in education and advocacy, particularly within the autism community. Currently serving as a Teacher at Educational Opportunities for Children and Families (EOCF) since April 2016, Matt's career began as a Teacher's Assistant at EOCF from 1999 to 2005, followed by various roles in supporting individuals with autism, including as a Well Known Community Figure and Autism Advocate with the Autism Society of Oregon from 2008 to 2022. Matt also worked as a Contracted Personal and Respite Services provider for the State of Washington DSHS and as an Inclusion Specialist for the City of Vancouver, Washington. Additionally, Matt provided private consultations through Matt Sloan Autism Consulting and served as a Paraeducator in the SCIP Program across all educational levels within Evergreen School District. Matt holds an Associate's degree in Child Development from Clark College.
