Katie Ricker-Pedley has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Katie started their career at the University of Alberta as a Program Coordinator from September 2000 to August 2002. Katie then worked at Educational Testing Service (ETS) as a Psychometrician from November 2004 to June 2010, specializing in constructed response scoring. Katie then became a Principal Research Project Manager at ETS from June 2010 to October 2011, focusing on psychometric issues related to constructed response items.
Katie joined Clowder Consulting as a Lead Psychometrician from November 2011 to December 2012. Katie later returned to ETS as a Manager Psychometrics from May 2013 to July 2017. In this role, they managed and oversaw psychometrics of testing programs, including Teacher Licensure exams.
From July 2017 to June 2020, Katie served as the Director of Constructed Response Performance Measurement and Analytics at ETS. Katie'sresponsibilities included developing and leading continuous improvement efforts for CR scoring quality, managing quality monitoring procedures and protocols, and implementing long-range strategic planning for CR scoring.
Since June 2020, Katie has taken on the role of Director of Psychometrics and Data Analytics, College Board Programs at ETS. In this position, they oversee all psychometrics and data analytic staff and their work on behalf of College Board.
Most recently, Katie has been appointed as the Director R&D Liaison Global Higher Education at ETS, starting in August 2021.
Katie Ricker-Pedley obtained a PhD in Psychometrics from the University of Alberta in the years 2002 to 2006. Prior to that, they completed their MSc. in Neurophysiology at the same university from 1997 to 2000. Katie received their undergraduate degree in Kinesiology (BKin) from McMaster University between 1993 and 1997. Katie Ricker-Pedley also holds a certification as a Firefighter I.
