Lori Slade Sessions is an experienced Theatre Educator at Broward County Schools since August 1994, specializing in Theatre 1-4, Musical Theatre, Cambridge Drama, and Technical Theatre. As Fine Arts Department Chair and former Activities Director at JP Taravella High School, Lori coordinated over 400 fundraisers annually and managed various school events. In addition, Lori serves as District 7 Chairperson and State Board Member for the Educational Theatre Association, overseeing an annual Thespian Festival with over 700 participants and organizing college audition processes. As Program Director for South Florida Cappies Inc., Lori produces and directs an annual Awards Gala. Lori's extensive leadership roles include serving as President for both the Florida Association for Theater Education and The Cappies. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education and a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre from Florida State University, complemented by a short-term program at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. Prior performing experience includes acting at the Flat Rock Playhouse and entertaining at Busch Gardens.
