ESI is currently seeking a Senior/Staff Accountant to support our Accounting Department and support our Operations Team. In this role, you are directly responsible for the day to day operations which includes but not limited to the following:

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Record Accounts Payable, credit card transactions, and Expense Reports timely and accurately and reconcile the Open Accounts Payable Ledger. Process the Cash disbursements semi-monthly.

  2. Prepare and submit customer invoices(CPFF, T&M and FFP) on a semi and monthly basis.

  3. Set up new employees and process Payroll on a bi-weekly basis; maintain company benefits paid by employees.

  4. Review Timesheets for completeness and accuracy bi-weekly and set up labor catergories.

  5. Record Cash Receipts and reconcile the Aged Accounts Receivable Ledger.

  6. Record all cash and credit card transactions and prepare Reconciliations.

  7. Record monthly General Entries

  8. Maintain the General Ledger: Reconcile the Balance Sheet accounts and update schedules monthly.

  9. Process 1099’s

  10. Assist with the Accounting Policies and Procedures manual.

Qualifications

  1. Minimum of 2-4 years of Government Contracting experience.
  2. Familiarity with FAR and GAAP. DCAA audit guidelines is a plus.
  3. Demonstrated skills in customer services, work with little to no supervision and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  4. Understanding of accounting principles and the Indirect Rate Structure.
  5. Bachelor’s in Accounting is preferred.
  6. Experience with Microsoft 365 / Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams), Quickbooks(Desktop), and Deltek Costpoint 8.2.
