Hasan Malik joined the Jones Financial Companies (the "firm") as Co-Lead of Firm Strategy in June 2022. Firm Strategy works with the Enterprise Leadership Team and firm leaders on enterprise strategy, the strategic planning process, internal consulting, business development, and centers of excellence. Hasan will serve on the Enterprise Leadership Team, which is responsible for providing advice and counsel to the managing partner in helping the firm grow its impact and create value for clients, colleagues and communities today and in the future.

Prior to joining the firm, Hasan led corporate strategy, strategic partnerships and GS Accelerate (new business incubation engine) for Goldman Sachs. Additionally, he served as COO of the Firmwide Strategy division which also included mergers and acquisition (M&A), strategic investments in the fintech ecosystem and the office of M&A integration. He joined Goldman Sachs as managing director in 2018.

From 2014 to 2017, Hasan built and led the advisory business at Visa, Inc. He led a global team of 200+ experts in payments and commerce based in more than 20 countries across North America, Latin America, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific. He also oversaw the Business & Economic Insights team led by Visa’s chief economist.

Until 2014, Hasan was a partner at McKinsey & Company, Inc., where he advised global and regional wealth managers, retail and commercial banks and life and health insurers in North America, Latin America, Europe, Middle East and South Asia. Hasan started his career as a corporate and investment banker at Citigroup.

Hasan earned his bachelor’s and MBA from the Institute of Business Administration in Karachi, Pakistan. He also has an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship from the University of Chicago.
