Scott Vicars at Edward Jones

Scott Vicars has over 30 years of work experience in various roles in the information technology and business sectors. Scott began their career at McDonnell Douglas Health Systems as a Programmer in 1984, and then moved on to Edison Brothers Stores as a Programmer/Analyst in 1985. In 1986, they joined Citicorp where they served as the Manager of Insurance Information Systems and later as an Application Development Manager. In 1992, they became a Department Leader at Edward Jones, where they worked for over 20 years. At Edward Jones, they also held the position of Technical Architect from 2013 until the current date. In 2006, Scott Vicars began working as an Adjunct Professor at Maryville University's John Simon School of Business, where they teach a graduate-level course in managing Information Systems Technology as part of the MBA program.

Scott Vicars has a diverse educational background. Scott earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Business from Oklahoma Baptist University from 1980 to 1984. In 2000, they pursued an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) from Washington University in St. Louis - Olin Business School, completing the program in 2002. Additionally, Scott obtained a Master of Science degree in Management from Maryville University, although the specific dates of their enrollment are unavailable.

Beyond their formal education, Scott has also obtained several certifications related to aviation. In 2006, they earned a Private Pilot certification from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for Airplane Single-Engine Land (ASEL). Two years later, in 2008, they acquired an Instrument Rating from the FAA. Most recently, in January 2018, Scott successfully obtained a Commercial Pilot certification for Airplane Single-Engine Land (ASEL) from the FAA.
