Michael T. West

Michael West serves as the Vice President at Edward Waters University since July 2022, contributing significantly to the University’s strategic and operational development through direct leadership and oversight of various institutional initiatives. With extensive experience in higher education, including roles such as President and Principal at West & Associates, LLC, and Vice President & Chief Operating Officer at Shaw University, Michael has managed critical projects in strategic planning, operational efficiency, and academic program development. An accomplished leader, Michael has a Doctor of Education from The University of Georgia, multiple advanced degrees from institutions such as the University of Pennsylvania and Loyola University Chicago, and a strong background in business development and management from previous positions in various organizations.
