Brandon Liu

Brandon Liu is an experienced engineer currently serving as Engr II in the R&D - Surgical Structural Heart division at Edwards Lifesciences since December 2023. Prior to this role, Brandon worked at Purple Platypus as a Development Engineer, where responsibilities included product conceptualization and prototyping using 3D printing, along with supporting customer programs through customized demonstrations and technical documentation. Earlier experience includes positions such as Assistant Design Engineer, where Brandon assisted in developing engineering specifications and prototypes, and leadership roles within the Engineering Student Council at UC Irvine, including President and Vice President of Development. Brandon has a strong foundation in mechanical and aerospace engineering, demonstrated through projects at UCI Samueli School of Engineering and involvement in various design projects. Brandon holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering from UC Irvine, complemented by early research experience in biotechnology.
