Cristina Lowry

Cristina Lowry is an experienced educational leader currently serving as the Director of Talent and Culture and as the Founding Principal at Equitas Academy Charter Schools since January 2015. In addition, Cristina holds the position of Wellness Coach at Reach University since August 2023. Prior roles include Dean and 5th Grade Reading Teacher at KIPP LA Schools from July 2011 to December 2014, and 6th Grade Non-Fiction and 6th Grade Math Teacher at KIPP DC from July 2009 to June 2011. Cristina began a career in education as a 6th Grade Math and Science Teacher with Teach For America from July 2007 to June 2009. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Teachers College, Columbia University, and dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Sociology and African-American/Black Studies from the University of Michigan.
