Andrea Lucas

Andrea Lucas possesses extensive legal experience, serving as the Acting Chair and Commissioner at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) from October 2020 to January 2025. Prior to this role, Andrea worked at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP from November 2011 to October 2020 as a Senior Associate and Associate. Andrea also gained experience as a Law Clerk for Judge James C. Cacheris at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia from August 2012 to August 2013, and as a Legal Fellow in the Office of the Governor of the State of Virginia from August 2010 to April 2011. Andrea holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Virginia School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
