Carl Magnus Vesterberg

Carl Magnus Vesterberg has extensive work experience in the field of business intelligence and data warehouse management. Carl Magnus began their career as a Prepress Operator at Duro Grafiska in 1998 and then worked as a Systems Administrator at Oriflame Cosmetics from 1999 to 2003. In 2005, they joined LR Health & Beauty Systems GmbH as an Application Specialist, where they implemented QlikView as a Business Intelligence solution.

From 2009 to 2011, Carl worked as a QlikView Business Consultant at Estrix SA, assisting clients in developing and enhancing their QlikView applications. Carl Magnus then moved to PwC as an Assistant Manager, specializing in QlikView. In this role, they worked with over 50 customers across various industries, providing pre-sales support, implementation, maintenance, and training.

In 2015, Carl joined EF Education First as a Business Intelligence Analyst, implementing QlikView as the analytics solution and analyzing digital advertising spending. Carl Magnus was later promoted to a larger role as the Head of Data Warehouse and Machine Learning, where they led teams in Zurich and Bangalore. In this role, they implemented Qlik Sense to 200 users, built predictive models for customer behavior, and achieved low staff turnover and a strong reputation for their team in Bangalore.

Currently, Carl Magnus Vesterberg is the Head of Business Intelligence at EF Education First, where they are responsible for migrating multiple markets to Salesforce and implementing a new SQL data warehouse in Azure. Carl Magnus has also created a Power BI reporting suite on top of the data warehouse.

Carl Magnus Vesterberg completed their Bachelor's degree in International Administration from Växjö University in 2005. Carl Magnus is currently pursuing an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) from Hult International Business School, with an expected completion in 2023. In addition, Carl Magnus has obtained various certifications including "Data Science for Business" from Harvard Online in 2023, "Certificate in Applied Behavioral Science Ethics" from Behavioral Economics Academy in 2022, and "Become a Financial Analyst" from LinkedIn in 2021, among others.
