Johan Barrefelt

Johan Barrefelt has extensive work experience in insurance and risk management. Johan is currently working at EF Education First as the Head of Insurance and Risk Management in the EF Group, CIO Family Office. Johan previously held the position of Vice President Insurance and Risk Management in the EF Group, CFO Family Office. Prior to EF Education First, Johan served as the CEO of Erika Insurance from 2017 to 2020. Before that, they worked at Skandia Norden where they held various roles including Head of Group Risk Control, Head of Insurance, and Head of Group Compliance.

Johan Barrefelt has a Master of Laws (LLM) degree from Uppsala University, which they obtained from 1999 to 2002. In 2014, they participated in the Executive Management Program at the Stockholm School of Economics. Johan also completed senior staff training, leadership, and operational management courses at the Swedish Defence University from 2009 to 2010. Furthermore, they attended the Swedish Naval War College in 1998 and the Swedish Naval Academy in 1997-1998.
