Robert G. Syvret

Robert G. Syvret has a diverse work experience in the field of fluorine chemistry and technology. Robert G. began their career in 1987 as a Research Associate at Air Products, where they worked for over 20 years. During their time at Air Products, they focused on fluorine chemistry and conducted research in this area.

In 1999, Syvret took on the role of Treasurer at the ACS Division of Fluorine Chemistry, where they managed financial matters for the division.

In 2008, Syvret started their own consulting company called Fluorine Chemistry and Technology, LLC (F2ChemTech). As the owner, they provided consulting services worldwide in various areas of fluorine chemistry and technology, such as fluorine generation, surface modification, and biologically active compounds. Robert G. also served as an expert witness in fluorochemical manufacturing process chemistry and patent litigation.

Syvret joined Voltaix, Inc. in 2009 as a New Products Development Scientist, focusing on the synthesis and process chemistry development of molecules for photovoltaic and semiconductor applications.

Robert G. then moved to Arkema in 2011, working as a Research Fellow in the field of Fluorochemicals.

In 2017, Syvret took on two positions. Robert G. became the Chief Scientist at Electronic Fluorocarbons and a Research Fellow at Lehigh University.

Additionally, Syvret has been a Visiting Scientist at the University at Albany, SUNY since 2009, where their role involves facilitating collaboration between graduate students, postdocs, and industrial chemists in the field of fluorine chemistry and technology.

Robert G. Syvret holds a Ph.D. in Main Group Inorganic Fluorine Chemistry from McMaster University. Robert G. also attended WDHS, although the degree and field of study are not specified.
